Flannel Flower (Actinotus helianthi)

The flower heads are really a cluster of tiny creamy white flowers surrounded by long white bracts. The bracts make the flowers seem much larger than they really are.

The foliage is grey green and deeply divided.

Widespread and fairly common in open forest and heath. It is often found in colonies around rocky outcrops.
