Cucumber Orchid (Dockrillia cucumerina)

The Cucumber Orchid is a creeping prostrate orchid usually growing on she-oaks.  The thick succulent leaves are quite knobbly.

Flowers are cream to greenish carried on slender racemes.  Flowers have red stripes.

The Cucumber Orchid is found along the NSW coast and mountains, north from just south of Sydney. It usually grows on she-oaks but sometimes on rocks.

I have only seen this orchid once in the wild. It was growing on rock. Unfortunately it was not in flower.
