Flagstaff Hill

Flagstaff Hill is about 750 metres southeast of Watertrough Hill in the Bell Range.

Despite the name there isn't a flag staff on Flagstaff Hill & there never was. Apparently a member of the first party to travel to Bell along the route of Bells Line of Road attached a shirt to a branch like a flag. The group were responsible for many of the names along this route.

In good weather there are excellent views from the top of Flagstaff Hill.

An interesting variety of wildflowers grow on Flagstaff Hill.

The old Bells Line of Road skirts around to the north of Flagstaff Hill.
