Vertigo Slot

Vertigo Slot, on the western side of the Great Dividing Range, starts as a deep narrow chasm and widens into a gorge.

There are only a few spots to look into Vertigo Slot from above. These are mostly exposed and the explorer will find it hard to look down without experiencing a sense of vertigo, hence the name.

Smooth Pagodas top the cliffs along the edge of the slot and the ravine. Cypress pines stand like sentinels amongst the pagodas while tall eucalypts reach up from the bottom of the slot.
