Grand Canyon

The beautiful Grand Canyon runs from Blackheath to the Grose Valley. The canyon was carved out of the soft sandstone by Greaves Creek.

A Walking Track runs through the Grand Canyon from Neates Glen to Evans Lookout along well constructed paths and steps.

The creek and the path separate when Greaves Creek plunges down a waterfall into a narrow slot. From here Greaves Creek flows through a dark and beautiful section of canyon until it rejoines the track further downstream.

The lower canyon can be accessed either by abseiling in near the falls or swimming and scrambling from lower down. The water is quite cold but the canyon is lovely.
