Christys Creek

Christys Creek rises near Rocky Top and flows down to join the Kowmung below Cambage Spire. Along its 13 kilometre journey Christys Creek drops 1,000 metres as it travels through some stunning scenery, deep gorges and down high waterfalls.

Christys Creek above the junction with Dione Dell is a beautiful little stream caught between Wallarra Heights, Gogy Ridge and Mt Dione. It is a continuous series of cascades, small waterfalls and fantastic pools, with many rock walls adorned with brilliantly coloured mosses and ferns.

It is fairly easy to walk along the creek to the junction of Dione Creek. Between Dione Dell and Central Christy there are a number of waterfalls that involve abseiling. Walking is easy from the junction of Arabanoo Creek and the Kowmung.

I've seen large trout near Central Christys.
