Boyd Plateau

Boyd Plateau is upland mostly above 1200 metres and bounded by the Great Dividing Range near Jenolan Caves to the north, the Jenolan River to the east, the Hollanders River to the west and the Kowmung River to the south.

The boundaries are generally escarpments and very steep slopes. Watercourses slice through the plateau, deeply near the outskirts.

The plateau is covered by a number of different plant communities including sclerophyll forest and montane heath.

Most people visiting Kanangra stick to the tourist paths - not many get out and see the beauty hidden away on the Boyd Plateau.
