Glow Worm Tunnel Cave House

Workers building the Wolgan Valley Railway needed somewhere to live close to where they were working.

This cave house, constructed under an overhang in an isolated pagoda, would have been top class accomodation.

Dry stone walls, similar to the ones in the creek above the Glow Worm Tunnel were probably topped with timber.

Shelves were carved into the back of the cave house.

The cave house would have been warm & snug, far superior to a tent in the middle of winter or at the height of summer.
