Comments:

Splendour Rock is a rock platform at the southern end of Mt Dingo in the Wild Dog Mountains.

There are wonderful views of the region's wild & spectacular valleys, gorges, cliffs & mountain ranges.

In 1948 bushwalkers from the Federation of Bushwalkers erected a Plaque on the rock platform & dedicated it as a War Memorial to Bushwalkers who were killed in World War II.

Each year bushwalkers gather at Splendour Rock on Anzac Day to remember the sacrifices made by soldiers in time of war.  Many record their memories & feelings in the Log Book.

Splendour Rock is a special place, well worth the effort to visit.

Access to Splendour Rock is via a pass up from Yellow Dog Ridge or via a high traverse across the Wild Dog Mountains from the north.
