Mt Thurat is a high point about 2 kilomtres south-east of Queen Pin & 2.5 kilometres east of King Pin on the Boyd Plateau.

Access is via the King Pin Fire Trail or the Mt Thurat Fire Trail.

On a clear day there are some interesting views of the surrounding countryside.

Thick heath on the slopes of Mt Thurat can make navigation tricky & progress quite slow.
