Dunphys Lookout

Map: LPI Yerranderie 89294N GR: 310 322 Track Notes: Comments: Dunphys Lookout is a rock platform at the southern tip of Mt Wallarra. It is marked on the Kowmung and Gundungera maps but not on the LPI Yerranderie map. While the lookout is almost impossible to see from other places it offers terrific panoramic views. The easy climb down from Dunphys lookout to Dark Angel Ridge provides a way into Tartarus Deep. Thick heath on Mt Wallarra makes access to Dunphys Lookout across the top quite difficult. An approach along the base of the cliffs is much easier. |
