Whalania Heights

Map: Kanangra 89303S GR: 295 452 Track Notes: Comments: Whalania Heights is a raised area of land east of the Kanangra Range & north of the Krungle Bungle Range. Large areas were cleared for farming in the 1880s. The Konangaroo Parish Map of 1890 showed the land owned by the Whalan family. The cleared areas are only now starting to be reclaimed by some of the hardier native plants. Remains of fences and yards can still be seen in the area. |
