Kowmung Lookout

Map: Kanangra 89303S GR: 330 349 Track Notes: Comments: The Kowmung Lookout is an old lookout that is vary rarely visited. The Lookout is reached by working through the heath along the cliff tops above the walking track down to Murdering Gully for about 500 metres. There are excellent views of Seymour Top, Headless Rider Point, Arabanoo Creek, Isolated Rock, Mt Colboyd, Mt Bulgin, Pindari Top and across to the Kowmung and Mt Colong. It is certainly worth the effort to see this rugged landscape from a different aspect. The Kowmung Lookout is marked on Dunphy's Gangerang and Kowmung maps. |
