Blue Rock Gap

Map: Ben Bullen 89314S GR: 320 205 Comments: Blue Rock Gap is located about 600 metres north east of Mt Davidson and 800 metres south west of Hughes Defile. Huge pagodas tower above the gap on both sides. The caps of the pagodas have a distinctive blue hue. Early Parish Maps of the area noted the 'Blue Cap Rock' that is so visible at the Gap. There are amazing views north and south from Blue Rock Gap. Look north and gaze into the Capertee Valley. Look south and you see the Wolgan Valley laid out below you. Blue Rock Gap is close enough to visit on a day walk. Alternatively you could take a couple of days and camp nearby at The Pondage.
