Shunt Pass is one of only a few passes off the Newnes Plateau down to Carne Creek.

The route through the main cliff line is over the huge Governor Pagoda which offers amazing views of Carne Creek & the cliffs & slots on the other side.

A roundabout route to the north wends its way through the lower cliff walls.
