Erosion has steadily hacked into the exposed face leaving the sheer cliff face that inspired the name. In ancient Rome the Tarpeian Rock was a cliff where traitors were hurled to their deaths. There are excellent views of the Moffit Pagodas and across Rowens Hole from this Tarpeian Rock. |
