Maps: Comments: Canyons in the Gardens of Stone have been created by rushing water eroding deep, dark & narrow chasms in the soft sandstone of the region. The canyons are often only a few metres wide with high cliffs restricting the light & making them dark & mysterious places. Many canyons in the Gardens of Stone are dry can be explored by bushwalkers.
