The Colosseum is a large overhang at the base of the cliffs below the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath.
The floor of the overhang was extensively terraced to provide a number of level areas for visitors to enjoy. A stone table was built using a large stone slab.
The path down to the Colosseum passes through two narrow clefts in the rock, one with wooden step & one with stone steps.
The return path runs west from the base of the waterfall to join up with Murphy's Track up from the Megalong Valley. The old Colosseum Track has been extensively damaged by rock falls & in some places is quite overgrown. The terraced track walls can be followed for the entire length of the path.
