Edgeworth David Head was named after pre-eminent goeologist & explorer Sir Tannant William Edeworth David.

There are excellent views of David Crevasse & the Grose Valley from Edgeworth David Head.

While quite large areas of Edgeworth David Head is covered with heath there are arreas of swamp & very thick forest.
