Mitchells Ridge

Map: Hartley 89304N GR: 438 807 Track Notes: Comments: Mitchells Ridge runs from the Blue Mountains Range near the village of Mt Victoria to Mt Victoria, a distance of some 2 kilometres. Mitchells Pass, used by the Great Western Highway, negotiates the ridge, still using the original viaduct built in 1832. On the top of the ridge there are fenced lookouts & 3 Picnic Shelter Sheds. A Monument to Mitchells Victoria Pass has been erected on the top of the ridge. There are a number of interesting plaques, well worth reading. |
