Dalpura Canyon

Maps: LPI Mt Wilson 89301N GR: 499 855 Track Notes: Comments: Dalpura Canyon lies between Dalpura Ridge & Jinki Ridge. The canyon is usually entered with an abseil or a jump down a waterfall. Bushwalkers can explore Dalpura Canyon by scrambling down from Dalpura Ridge about 50 metres below the waterfall or carefully traversing the ledges just past the abseil point. There are a couple of wades & a final (optional) waterfall abseil. Nice views can be had by following a pad along the western wall to the Grose Valley. Spectacular views from the bluffs on either side of the canyon exit to the Grose Valley make the climb well worthwhile. |
