The Pagodas that mark Mt Airly's southern boundary are amongst the best to be found anywhere.
High above the valley floor these dome shaped rock structures completely dominate the landscape.
The huge cliffs formed where the Pagodas collapsed into the valley make them seem unassailable.
The Pagodas have been formed by millions of years of erosion. Some can be climbed, others bypassed using narrow slots & ramps hidden between them.
The rocks have strange colours & erosion has cut even stranger shapes. Beautiful, opportunistic wildflowers grow in sandy gardens.
There are fantastic views everywhere.
