Family:  Orchidaceae

Description:  The Streaked Leek Orchid is a terrestial herb less than 30cm tall, with between 2 & 10 flowers on a single straight stem. The flowers are upside down, with green sepals & white petals, all with red/brown stripes. The labellum is white.    

Distribution:  Streaked Leak Orchids usually grow in damp areas in shallow soil on sandstone ledges and in rocky depressions on swampy hillsides.

Comments:  The Streaked Leek Orchid is also known as the Eastern Hunchback Orchid (Mecopodum striatum)
