Dingo Gap Gallery | Flannel Flowers (Actinous helianthi)

Family: Apiaceae

Flowering Period: September to January but can flower at other times.

Distribution: Widespread and fairly common in open forest and heath. It is often found in colonies around rocky outcrops.

Comments: The flowers heads are quite small and surrounded by long white bracts that make the flowers seem much larger. The foliage is grey green and deeply divided.
