Family:  Elaeocarpaceae

Flowering Period:  November to December

Distribution:  widespread and quite common, growing in sheltered forest, epsecially in gullies and canyons.

Comments:  The Blueberry Ash is a beautiful small tree with white bell shaped flowers and blue berries.

Blueberry Ash can form quite dense colonies in canyons.  It often appears very different to nearby trees growing in less sheltered areas.
