The Old Coach Road to Newnes

Map: Cullen Bullen 89313N Ben Bullen 89314S Comments: The Old Coach Road was used during the construction of Newnes Oil Works & the Wolgan Valley Railway. Much of the road is still in excellent condition although these days it is only travelled by bushwalkers. The road leaves the Railway at Deanes Siding & travels north, crossing the railway near the site of the old Wolgan Valley Colliery. The road passes through pagoda country, mountain passes & high cliffs. |
